CENTRALA ÄLVSTADEN

Background
Central River City is the centre of Gothenburg on both sides of the river. For many years, the city has developed the southern and northern banks of the river. Now the City of Gothenburg is taking a holistic approach to the area. A lot will happen in the area and one of the most important goals is to reduce the mental distance between Hisingen and the rest of Gothenburg.

Mission
We were entrusted with developing the website for the City of Gothenburg’s Central River City together with the advertising agency Idemark & Lagerwall. We were part of a working group together with the City of Gothenburg where we developed the idea, specification and framework for the project. The aim is to enable a dialogue between citizens and politicians.

Solution
We developed the website for the web and for mobiles. The website is based on ‘interactive’ HTML5. Users can post suggestions in the ‘Idea Box’ and then a vote takes place where the suggestions are assessed and receive votes. The site is also integrated with Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
